The parade moves downtown
For 2026, Pride in Dallas moves to Downtown Dallas. The Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade — named for the longtime activist — will roll down Main Street for the first time ever, and for the first time ever it will start at sunset.
Saturday, June 6, 2026. Festival all day across Main Street Garden Park, Pacific Plaza, Harwood Park, and Pegasus Plaza. Parade steps off at 7 PM and runs two hours under the downtown skyline.
What to expect
- 120+ entries — floats, marching bands, nonprofits, drag houses, dance troupes, motorcycle clubs
- Four-park festival — food, beer gardens, live stages, vendor booths running 11 AM to 6 PM
- Sunset parade — 7 PM to 9 PM, Main Street, with the Pegasus lit behind it
- After-parade parties — Cedar Springs stays the place to end the night
Getting here
DART rail drops you within a few blocks of the parade route. Rideshare works fine but expect surge pricing after 9 PM. Parking is tight — consider biking, walking, or staying downtown.
Where to stay
Uptown and Downtown hotels both put you inside a 15-minute walk of the parade route. See our hotel shortlist →
