The Statler is a mid-century modern revival — originally a 1956 Hilton, it was gutted and reimagined as a cool, design-forward hotel with multiple restaurants (including the excellent Waterproof rooftop pool bar), a bowling alley, and rooms that channel Mad Men without the misogyny.
Located on Commerce Street downtown, it’s walking distance to the 2026 Pride parade route and Deep Ellum. The rooftop pool is a weekend hangout spot. Rates are more accessible than the luxury boutiques, making it a strong value pick for Pride weekend.
