Pecan Lodge started as a farmers market stall and became one of the most celebrated BBQ joints in Texas. The brisket is bark-heavy, the beef rib is a showstopper, and the banana pudding has ended relationships (in a good way). Located in Deep Ellum, it’s a pilgrimage for food lovers visiting Dallas.
The line can stretch around the block on weekends — arrive by 10:30 AM or accept your fate. They sell out of popular cuts by 1 PM. It’s not on Cedar Springs, but any guide to Dallas that skips Pecan Lodge isn’t a real guide.
