Meet the Artist Behind the Next Walls of Pride Mural!
The Cedar Springs Merchants Association’s Walls of Pride Project is thrilled to welcome Annie Hong as the featured artist for our newest community mural.
Based in Los Angeles, Annie is a queer, nonbinary Korean American visual artist and muralist whose vibrant public artworks are known for their radiant color palettes, flowing linework, whimsical forms, and powerful storytelling. Their work explores themes of identity, resilience, healing, and belonging while uplifting underrepresented voices and transforming public spaces into places of connection and reflection.
Over the past decade, Annie has created murals and installations for clients ranging from Adobe, DoorDash, the LA Rams, and Forever 21 to schools, nonprofits, and municipalities across the country. Equally important to their artistic practice is a longtime commitment to youth engagement, education, and community-building through the arts.
For Annie, public art is more than beautification. It is an opportunity to strengthen community, celebrate identity, and create spaces where people feel seen, connected, and inspired.
