The Oak Lawn Tennis Association of Dallas, one of the nation’s oldest LGBTQ+ tennis organizations, is currently in its 47th year of existence. Its historic legacy includes hosting the first national LGBTQ+ tennis tournament, and serving as a charter member of the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance, which now oversees 90 tennis tournaments worldwide, according to OLTA Executive Director Glenn Johnson.
OLTA Dallas announces its next national tournament, The Texas Open, will be held Sept. 25 to 27, at the Arlington Tennis Center. To sign up, go to GLTA.net, search for the Texas Open.
