The City of Dallas invites you to celebrate the Rainbow Steps Ribbon Cutting at Oak Lawn Branch Library.
Join the City of Dallas, Dallas Public Library, The Strip on Cedar Springs, Arts & Culture, and community partners as we celebrate a colorful new welcome point for Oak Lawn. The Rainbow Steps are more than a visual update. They are a public reminder that LGBTQ+ visibility, access, and community belonging should be part of the spaces we use every day.
This celebration builds on a larger movement across the neighborhood to make public spaces safer, more welcoming, and more connected. From rainbow bike racks to rainbow steps, these projects show how small pieces of public infrastructure can carry a larger message: everyone deserves safe and visible pathways into community life.
A Pride Dance Party will immediately follow the ribbon cutting.
