Dallas has one of the deepest drag scenes in the country, and most of it lives on or near Cedar Springs. Here’s where to catch the best shows this month:
Rose Room at Station 4 — The grande dame. Two shows nightly on Fridays and Saturdays, with a rotating cast of Dallas legends and touring queens. Get there early — the front-row seats go fast.
JR’s Drag Race Viewing Party — Every Wednesday during the season. Big screens, drink specials, and live commentary from local queens. It’s less a viewing party and more a communal experience.
Sue Ellen’s Sunday Brunch — The rooftop brunch with drag performances has become a Sunday institution. Mimosas, eggs, and lip-syncs. Arrive by 11 or wait for the second seating.
Hunky’s Drag Brunch — Yes, another drag brunch — but this one comes with Hunky’s legendary burgers and shakes. More casual, more neighborhood, equally fierce.
Beyond the Strip, keep an eye on Deep Ellum venues like Trees and The Nines for touring drag acts, and Bishop Arts pop-ups that are drawing a younger, more experimental crowd.
